OnePlus 13T Firmware / Partition Dump: Overview & Technical Guide

A full firmware dump or partition backup for the OnePlus 13T (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform — Model identifiers: PKX110, CPH2723) consists of extracted low-level disk partitions essential for emergency recovery, servicing, and rooting.

What Is It Used For?

• Emergency Unbricking (EDL 9008): Restoring devices from hard-brick, corrupted bootloader, or 9008 mode states using raw partition images (xbl, abl, boot, super).
• Rooting via Magisk / KernelSU: Extracting the stock init_boot.img partition to patch the kernel image without flashing an entire OS update.
• Bootloop & Dynamic Partition Repair: Restoring corrupt dynamic super blocks (system, vendor, product, system_ext) or boot chain components via FastbootD.
• Baseband & Partition Calibration Recovery: Preserving device-specific identifiers like modem calibration and partition layout profiles (ocdt, qcn) during firmware cross-flashing or regional conversions.

Tools Used for Flashing

• Android SDK Platform-Tools (Fastboot / FastbootD): Used for partition-level flashing over standard fastboot interfaces when the bootloader is unlocked.
• Payload Dumper Utilities (payload-dumper-go): For extracting individual partition .img files directly from official OTA payload.bin containers.
• Oplus Flash Tool / QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader): Used for low-level Emergency Download (EDL) flashing via Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 interface.

How to Flash / Restore Partitions

Critical Partition Warning
Do not cross-flash device-unique partitions (such as modemst1, modemst2, fsg, or ocdt) from another phone's dump, as this can permanently erase device IMEI, calibration data, and baseband configurations.

Method 1: Fastboot & FastbootD Flashing (Unlocked Bootloader)

1. Reboot to Fastboot:
Bash:
adb reboot bootloader

Verify detection: Run fastboot devices. The serial number must appear.
2. Flash Critical Boot Images (Root or Unbrick):
3. Bash:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash init_boot init_boot.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img

4. Verify: The command prompt will output OKAY [ X.XXs ] followed by Finished..
5. Flash Logical Images via FastbootD:

Bash:
adb reboot bootloader
Once in FastbootD mode on the device screen, flash logical system images:

Bash:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash init_boot init_boot.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
Verify: The device reboots cleanly into the setup wizard or system launcher.

Method 2: Qualcomm EDL Mode (QDLoader 9008 Flashing)

1. Prepare Drivers & Environment:
• Install Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 drivers on Windows.
2. Put Device into EDL Mode:
• Power off the phone.
• Hold Volume Up + Volume Down simultaneously and insert the USB cable connected to the PC.
• Verify: Check Windows Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT) to confirm Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COMx) is detected.
3. Write Raw Program / Dump via Tool:
• Load the extracted rawprogram/patch files or firmware container into the Oplus authorized flash tool or QFIL.
• Click Download / Flash and wait for the write process to complete.
• Verify: The flashing tool reports Download Finished / Process Completed Successfully before disconnecting.
