The upcoming One UI 9 update promises to deliver a suite of smart features to Galaxy S25 users—tools that were notably absent from previous software iterations.
According to leaks from an internal One UI 9 build for the Galaxy S25+, Samsung is gearing up to bring "Now Nudge" to its 2025 flagship lineup. Originally debuting on the S26 series, this technology provides intelligent, context-aware suggestions and reminders based on user habits, location, and app data.
The previous One UI 8.5 update left many users disappointed due to the omission of several key tools. While Samsung did release patches to add features like File Summary and Notification Light, highly anticipated tools such as Horizontal Lock and Now Nudge remained missing. Fresh leaks now confirm that both utilities will finally arrive with One UI 9.
Beyond making up for past omissions, the new update will also introduce "My FanCam," a feature recently unveiled on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 foldables.
My FanCam automatically generates short videos focusing on a selected subject within a clip. Users can easily adjust the aspect ratio for seamless uploading to social media platforms without the need for manual editing. Interestingly, this feature hasn't even made it to the One UI 9 Beta for the S26 series yet.
Samsung is expected to officially roll out the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in the coming months.
